Transitioning SDI to IP and
how to test PTP and SDI over IP

Session 1, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

In the first half of the seminar, Steve Holmes will introduce new ways of testing and monitoring IP video. Gain visibility to potential problems that engineers and operators face as they manage hybrid facilities.

Steve will also elaborate on new sync requirements and what is needed to address, diagnose and correlate both SDI and IP signal types to quickly identify root cause of errors, whether in the IP layer or the content layer.

Technical Challenges of HDR and
4K's Future in Video

Session 2, 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM

During the second half of the seminar, Steve Holmes will show solutions for creating and delivering HDR in HD, 4K and Ultra-HD (UHD).

With Tektronix' 4K-ready solutions you can be assured of a fast, smooth and seamless transition from HD to 4K with minimal interruption to your workflow and deadlines.

Meet Steve Holmes

Steve Holmes has over 30 years of video experience. Before coming to Tektronix, Steve spent 20 years with GTE/Verizon installing, teaching, engineering and managing Video and CATV systems.

During that time, Steve was teaching video transmission and video engineering to non-video engineers. He was involved in one of the first Video On-Demand, Near Video On-Demand, FTTH (Fiber to the Home), FTTN (Fiber to the Node), HFC (Hybrid, Fiber Coax), and trials before the development of digital video compression systems.
